The fifth of the stations of the cross is “Simon Helps Jesus Carry the Cross”. This scene depicts Simon of Cyrene, a passerby who was forced by Roman soldiers to help Jesus carry his cross when he was almost unable to continue due to exhaustion. This scene symbolizes the spirit of helping and sharing burdens, and demonstrates the humanity of Jesus in the midst of his suffering and his acceptance of it.
The sculpture is made of high-quality sunset red marble material and hand-carved by our experienced artisans to ensure that every detail comes to life. The fine craftsmanship and life size dimensions make this piece a symbol of religious faith, but also a reflection of artistic taste.
